Aplicabilidad del método SIM® para estudiantes universitarios y la comunidad: técnicas de autocuidado para el manejo del estrés y la ansiedad

Resumen

Introducción: Brasil es considerado uno de los países con mayor número de personas ansiosas en el mundo. Después de la pandemia, esta tasa aumentó de manera preocupante, presionando a los líderes para que invirtieran en técnicas de autocuidado. El estrés en el entorno universitario motivó la creación del proyecto de extensión “Calma en la crisis para los estudiantes y la comunidad”. Objetivo: Informar la experiencia del proyecto con estudiantes de la Universidad Estatal de Ponta Grossa y la comunidad local. Métodos: Se enseñaron técnicas de relajación, según la metodología Salud Integral Cuerpo-Mente, desarrollada por el Instituto Visão Futuro, para que estudiantes universitarios las apliquen por sí mismos y las compartan con la comunidad. Resultados: En el año 2023 se capacitó a dos grupos de estudiantes universitarios y las comunidades atendidas fueron Recanto María Dolores y Centro Pop. El principal resultado

 

 

es la comprensión de los estudiantes sobre la relación directa entre el autocuidado y el altruismo en el manejo del estrés, la importancia del trabajo en. grupos para fortalecer vínculos y crear un espacio seguro para perpetuar las buenas prácticas en la atención de la salud mental. Conclusión: El equipo ejecutor y la coordinación del proyecto quedaron satisfechos con los resultados. Se logró el desafío de aliviar el estrés en la comunidad, promoviendo beneficios conjuntos para los estudiantes de la UEPG. En 2024, buscamos expandirnos a otros cursos, aumentando la participación y promoviendo un mayor impacto en la calidad de vida de la comunidad interna y externa a la universidad.
