Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis experience a series of changes and limitations that have an impact on the biological, psychological and social aspects of their lives. Among them, comfort stands out, which is a complex, multidimensional construct and a basic need of human beings, making it a strong need to investigate factors associated with this response. The objective of this work is to analyze factors associated with the comfort of hemodialysis patients. This is a quantitative, cross-sectional and analytical research, with the participation of 132 patients undergoing hemodialysis in a private clinic in the northern region of Espírito Santo. Data collection occurred through interviews, applying the instruments: General Comfort Questionnaire, Spiritual Well-being Scale, Perceived Stress Scale and Pittisburg Sleep Quality Index. Descriptive analysis and Pearson's correlation test were used with the aid of Stata 13.0 software. High comfort levels were observed (mean= 134.8; SD= 19) and a significant correlation with the Spiritual Well-being (r= 0.296, p=0.001) and Stress (r= -0.530, p= 0.001) scales. ) and Sleep Quality (r=0.216, p=0.028). It is concluded that patients with higher levels of comfort have higher levels of spiritual well-being and quality of sleep, as well as lower levels of stress.References
