Research associates relational well-being with trust, security, intimacy, effective communication, common projects, receptivity to differences and similarities, ability to resolve conflicts and willingness to forgive and be forgiven, but there is no consensus on what defines a relationship as healthy . Faced with these scientific findings, the Habits and Lifestyle Change Program (PRO-MEV) team developed a group intervention protocol focused on the development of healthy relationships.
The general objective is to promote self-knowledge to deal with relational difficulties from the point of view of health, and the expansion of social skills to manage relational difficulties. For this, we seek to establish a bond of trust and intimacy between the members of the group; define personal and collective relational goals; conceptualize positive affective bonds; identify current abilities and limitations in relationships; develop effective communication; promote reflection on similarities and differences; encouraging authentic expression of affections/emotions and feelings and awakening different and spontaneous ways of relating.
